The Mu chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi has been at Washington since 1912.  Having existed for nearly a century, Mu has seen much change.  One thing, however, has not changed; our dedication to the family-fraternal relationship.  Families play an enormous role in the lives of the brothers, we want to encourage this relationship and strengthen it by involving our Brothers’ families in the Fraternity.

    At Alpha Sigma Phi, our focus is to constantly “Better the Man.”  As parents, we want you to be involved in this process as your son grows alongside his brothers throughout the fraternal and collegiate experience.   Brotherhood is the foundation of Alpha Sigma Phi, and friendships your son is making within the fraternity are those that he will cherish all his life.  The Parents Club is a great opportunity to meet the young men whom your son calls Brother.

    You no doubt have many questions regarding rushing, pledging and Fraternity life; questions your son may not have asked.  The Parents Club is your primary and official resource for information about all aspects of the Fraternity.  Attending our meetings is the best ay to stay informed, but if you would like we can add you to our emailing list; you will receive copies of the minutes from our monthly meetings as well as occasional updates and remainders.

    The Club meets monthly on Sundays in the Jack Merrill Solarium at our house; many of these are followed by a BBQ with the Brothers.  In addition the Parents Club hosts a variety of other annual events including the Autumn Open House, Christmas Pledge Auction, Spring Cleanup and BBQ and the Annual Jack Merrill Golf Tournament this June!

    The families of pledges and brothers alike are always welcome at Mu Chapter.  We hope that you will consider attending one of our club meetings, we’d be happy to answer any questions you have.  We’d love to meet you; so please, get involved in your son’s life as he grows alongside his Brothers as a man, and as an Alpha Sig!
